force hire physical therapist

The Findlay Force are excited to welcome Physical Therapist Jason Wietecki to the Force's medical staff!
Dr. Jason Wietecki is originally from Sylvania, Ohio, where he began playing hockey at a young age with the Toledo Ice Diggers and the Sylvania Maple Leafs (A & AA). He played varsity hockey in high school and graduated from St. John’s Jesuit High School in Toledo in 2014. He ultimately had to give up competitive hockey after moving to Findlay to begin a six-year program, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Findlay in 2020.
Following graduation, Jason spent the next five years working as a traveling physical therapist, practicing across the country in Florida, Kentucky, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Michigan. During his travels, he worked in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and inpatient rehabilitation centers, caring for patients of all ages.
Jason married his college sweetheart, Rebecca, in April 2023. Shortly after their wedding, Rebecca was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following her successful completion of chemotherapy and radiation, they decided to bring their family back to Flag City. Jason is now one of only two full-time physical therapists working in Blanchard Valley’s new Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), where he treats patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and chronic illnesses with the goal of restoring them to their highest level of independence.
Jason is passionate about helping his patients achieve their goals and looks forward to using his knowledge and expertise to keep the Force at full strength throughout the 2026–27 season, both on and off the ice.
Help us welcome Dr. Wietecki to the Force!
