Adam Goodrich

Adam Goodrich

Team Massage Therapist

“Hello! My name is Adam.

“Hello! My name is Adam.

When I was 12 years old, I was diagnosed with brain cancer and had to undergo surgery and 15 months of chemo at Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. During my time at Children’s, I would talk to other kids and saw so many who were suffering from different diseases. That experience helped me develop a deep sense of empathy for others who are going through tough situations.

I believe I was given a gift from God to assist people in healing by using my hands, and my experience gave me the ability to truly listen to and understand what people are going through when they experience pain. That is why I chose massage therapy as a career and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else! I am always honing my gift.

I want to thank you for considering Goodrich Myotherapy as an option for helping you and your loved ones achieve wellness.”

Adam  began his journey in healthcare in the fall of 2005 at Mercy College of  Ohio in Toledo receiving an associate’s degree in therapeutic massage  in May 2007. Adam was  licensed in June 2007 through the Ohio State Medical Board. Through the  first four years in the field, Adam worked in several different  environments which included an outpatient physical therapy facility in  Marion, OH. It was upon observing the physical therapists that he  decided to enroll in the physical therapist assistant program at Marion  Technical College in 2011.

In  May of 2013, Adam graduated with another associate degree and was  licensed that July. Later that year he was hired as a PTA at Wyandot  Memorial Hospital. After working as a PTA for a couple of years Adam,  with the help of leadership at the hospital, developed a therapeutic  massage program and acted as the director of the massage department from  May 2016 to April 2018.

Adam  then pursued his dream of opening his own massage clinic which he  achieved November 1st, 2018. Along with his licenses in massage and  physical therapy Adam also has over 1,000 hours in continuing education  with certifications in:  Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy, IASTM, Dynamic  Cupping, Kinesio Taping, Residual Strain Technique, Visceral  Manipulation and Reflexive Performance Reset.
